Heelwork for Spaniels Workshop - £25

Sunday 19th July 2026 - 12.30pm to 2pm

A fun and practical one‑off workshop designed specifically for Spaniels and their unique working instincts. Held both indoors and outdoors at Clanfield Memorial Hall, this session blends focused training with breed‑specific understanding to help you get the very best from your Spaniel.

What we’ll cover:

  • Focus and engagement - build reliable attention around distractions using games and exercises tailored to high‑energy, visually‑driven dogs.
  • Understanding Spaniel traits and motivators - explore how natural instincts such as hunting, air‑scenting, and environmental scanning influence heelwork and how to work with these traits rather than against them.
  • Breed‑specific rewards - learn which reinforcers truly matter to Spaniels (movement, scent, search‑based rewards) and how to use them to strengthen calm, connected walking.
  • Practical heelwork skills - develop consistent positioning, smooth transitions, and sustained engagement using both indoor and outdoor setups.

The workshop includes a digital handout of the exercises covered and a certificate of completion.
